Skydiving Canberra

Our blue Voyager van with SKYDIVE number plates will be in the Deakin Mint visitors car park on Denison Street in Deakin. After the necessary paperwork is completed we will drive you to the airport while your tandem instructor talks you through our training DVD. You are welcome to download (see top right corner of page) the paperwork and complete it beforehand.

Skydive CanberraWhen the briefing is complete you will board our aircraft, a Cessna 206 which is maintained to Charter standard, for the flight up to 10 000 feet above the ground. This will take 20 to 25 minutes and take you to the north and west of Canberra for some sightseeing on the way. Our special clearview skydiving door slides open giving you an easy and comfortable exit before you experience your freefall.

After about 30 or more exhilarating seconds the parachute will start opening and you will be able to look around and have a go at steering if you feel like it. Don't forget to look at the camera!

Exciting DVD options

We have some great DVD options to preserve the memories of your jump. They tell the story of your adventure with us which you can watch time and again and show to friends and family.

WristCam DVD Your tandem instructor operates a wrist mounted camera which gives semi profile footage of your freefall and descent under the parachute. This costs $80.00. You can also have a CD of still photos, one taken every two seconds, for a package price of $110.00. You can also opt for the still photos only for $30.00.

HeadCam DVD Our expert  skydiver/camera flyer has a helmet mounted camera and takes footage of your freefall from directly in front of the tandem pair. This costs $115.00 with the still photo option for a package price of $140.00. The HeadCam does not have a stills only option.

You will be landing at the Deakin Mint oval about one hour and fifteen minutes after we have first met. Your friends and family can watch as you receive your First Jump Certificate. Don't drive away too fast as the adrenalin will still be pumping!

In general you need to be over 14 years of age to jump. (Special application can be made for younger people.) If you are 100 Kg + we will take age and fitness into account. If we assess that it is appropriate to jump there is no extra charge for bigger people to do a tandem skydive with us.

Usually the jump takes one and a half hours, we ask that allow about two hours. Comfortable clothes which are not bulky or constricting are best, shoes should close firmly. We provide a jumpsuit, goggles and gloves in cold weather.

Our aircraft and ground crew are available on occasions for Canberra's experienced skydivers to have their fun too. As a tandem passenger you may have an experienced skydiver on board your flight to give you an insight into the fun of jumping solo.
